Sick of Sick

Please stop taking my picture when I feel like crap!!!!

PLEASE.

Ugh. Keep your stock in Lysol, Mucinex, Cough Drops, Motrin and Kleenex.....I am single handedly fixing that economic crisis. Teddy has not been sick in YEARS. In that time he has not learned how to be a good patient. Not even a little bit.

Sorry Phil.

It is chilly and windy again here. Yesterday we got snow. Big huge honking flakes that would actually blind you. And enough slush to have to shovel. I love snow, and am always up for piles of it. As I was out and about, I found people quite surprised by the snow. I found myself thinking, Well...the groundhog did predict 6 more weeks of winter." DOES ANYONE REALIZE HOW RIDICULOUS THAT IS?????? Forget about El Nino and global warming. Instead we are going to rely on whether or not a big, furry, rodent sees his shadow. All of my birds are going through tons of food. There are a million of them outside at the feeders.
All of my cats are mad they they can't make the birds FOOD.
Here Birdy, birdy, birdy....
And through it all there are definite signs of Mother Nature trying to get to warmer days.
AND they have nothing to do with Phil.

Happy Times-Away!

When Teddy was little this is what he used to say instead of Happy Valentine's Day. Steve and I still say it, perhaps to remember those sweeter little kids who actually seemed to like us.
For Valentine's Day dessert the girls and I made delicious chocolate covered strawberries,
and chocolate covered pretzels.
Upon seeing the finished product Janey said, "These look so good I just have to say God is Grace."
Happy Times-Away. Four great kids. Chocolate covered stuff.
Amen.

Alive and kicking....

...but tired!! A month between posts. Falling down on the job, obviously!! In my defense it has been crazy. My sister in law, Colleen died three weeks ago. After that we have been blessed with a new roommate, my great niece, Kaylee.
And re-navigating the world of chokeables, stair climbing, naps, non-existent showers, and sticky high chairs. As well as witnessing the fact that your four year old really has NOT quite grasped the concept of sharing. BUT she HAS grasped passive aggressive behavior quite well. She WILL share with that baby, but she puts things up WAY high so that unless Kaylee transforms into Super Stretch, she will NEVER reach things!! I am hoping that Kaylee's great appetite will inspire Janey to move away from plain noodles with butter and salt, but, alas, no such luck!
